Jerry Xing, MD, MSc, FRCSC
Dr. Xing is a subspecialty trained orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in foot and ankle surgery. As an active staff surgeon at Orillia Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, his clinical practices covers general adult and paediatric orthopaedic trauma as well as adult hip and knee arthritis. Dr. Xing’s clinical interests in foot and ankle pathology includes hindfoot deformity and arthritis, ankle instability, forefoot deformity, minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery, sports injuries, diabetic feet, and complex foot and ankle trauma.
His journey in foot and ankle education started in the University of Toronto Orthopaedic Residency training program and continued on to the Sydney Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgery Fellowship. After a year abroad learning how international surgeons approached orthopaedic foot and ankle problems, Dr. Xing came back to Toronto and spent another year with his mentors in the University of Toronto Foot and Ankle Fellowship Program. Dr. Xing continues his life-long orthopaedic education as an active member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, Canadian Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and Canadian Orthopaedic Association.
